Extended Day

Extended Day

OPEN TO STUDENTS 4.1+ YEARS OLD

Between the ages of four and five, children enter the next stage of development, “the age of reason.” at this time there is a natural progression for morning children to enter the extended day program. Having explored and used the Montessori materials for at least one year in the primary program, the extended day child is beginning to explore abstract ideas and is ready to receive higher level lessons. The extended day child’s work cycle includes lunch and recess, library days and outdoor exploration when weather permits.
