The Beaver Valley Montessori School Preschool and Kindergarten program is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Our mission is to offer early education experiences that instill a respectful global view and a passion for lifelong learning. The Montessori program offers consciously designed experiences that cultivate the child’s sense of independence, self-respect, love of peace, passion for self-chosen work and the ability to celebrate the individual spirit.

Preschool

The unique three-year Montessori program can accept students as early as 2.7* years of age. Our curriculum consists of half day options, morning and afternoon, and a full-day program.  Our multi-age classrooms create a strong foundation of learning that will set the stage for challenges children may encounter later in school and in life.
*Child should be potty-trained.

Kindergarten^*

Children aged three to six in Montessori classrooms are growing from concrete to abstract in all developmental areas. The child takes the skills they mastered as infants and toddlers and refined them to be successful school-aged children. That third year in the classroom is when concepts come together for each child. As a child progresses in a Montessori classroom the Kindergartener becomes a critical thinker and problem solver. The child becomes a role model in the classroom and school community and is confident to take on tasks on his/her own. A well-rounded learner emerges and is ready to take on the most challenging of tasks.

The child will be a leader in the very place they were once a careful observer. In Montessori kindergarten the child now becomes a teacher to their younger peers. Independence and autonomy flourish!

Moreover, Montessori kindergarteners are highly motivated as they learn to be organized, to focus, and to begin to develop a work ethic that will last their whole life. They are self- directed, independent learners, and discover how to learn while they develop a love of learning.
*Must be age 5 as of September. Child must have attended a Montessori Program for 1 year prior to Admission. Space is limited.

To set up an observation or to place your child’s name on our wait list, we invite you to call the school at 724-775-6333. We do maintain a wait list for future enrollment and will list children on it as young as six months of age. Our school offers limited scholarships to those in need of tuition assistance.
